We start the tour in Queenstown – the adventure capital of New Zealand. The tour finishes here too, so remember to allow yourself a little extra time at the end to do those activities you procrastinated about before the tour started.

Queenstown has something for everyone, adrenaline seeker or not! For those looking for adventure in Queenstown consider bungy jumping, jet boating, whitewater rafting, river surfing or canyon swinging. For those who like life in the slower lane there’s anything from gondola rides, art, culture, heritage, shopping, spas and the inevitable cafe… to family restaurants and high-end dining.

On tour, the Central Otago Mountain Biking Getaway knows no bounds when it comes to adventure and excitement. As well as Queenstown, you’ll ride lakeside Wanaka, and historic gold-mining towns like Arrowtown and Clyde.

As an intermediate to experienced mountain biker you’ll ride single trails, gravel roads and 4WD tracks over alpine passes, alongside sparkling lakes, and through farmland and river valleys. You’ll also explore a mountain bikers’ playground built on a mountain top.
