I enjoyed the Croatia bike and sail tour very much - making new friends, learning to e-bike and the beautiful warm clear azure blue sea are great memories of the trip for me.

      Croatia Biking Tour

This is a thank you and a huge recommendation to anyone interested in seeing Croatia the way we did with Global Adventure Guide. Everything about our trip in September was perfect, the boat, the guides, the food, the riding and Croatia itself was awesome. Our global adventure was brilliant!!

We'll cycle off each morning after a hearty breakfast, and meet the boat later in the day at a different harbour. In the evenings, stroll through historic harbour towns. At the end of each day, settle in your cabin to sleep, or stay on deck under a thousand stars. The tour offers varied cycling in the hilly islands. From each harbour you climb to approximately 200-500m above sea level and then continue on rolling terrain along the island. Daily distances range from 25–48 km, with no time constraints. Total cycling approximately 196km. E-bikers only need a moderate fitness level.

      DAY 4

      The island of Duji Otok

      Cycling: 48 km

During breakfast on board, the boat will cruise past many small islands to the ‘spice island’ of Dugi Otok. Today’s ride will be along a road almost free of traffic and will start in the bay of Božava which is surrounded by pine, agave and tamarisk trees. Firstly we ride to the northernmost point of the island where the light house of Veli Rat (built in 1849) stands proudly. Then we continue along the island ridge with beautiful panoramic views all the way to the bay of Savar. Here the boat awaits us for a cruise to Zadar. This city has been the political, cultural and spiritual centre of Dalmatia for centuries. Over 3000 years of history have left their imprint on the character of this town and there are many things to be admired: the mighty fortified walls with their bastions, the loggia and the early Romanesque St. Donatus Basilica. In the evening our tour guide takes us on an extensive walk through the lively city centre.

      DAY 5

The islands of Pag and Rab

      Cycling: 20 km

After a morning cruise, we reach the island of Pag, with it’s harsh but delightful landscape boasting many fig and olive trees. Over the centuries the inhabitants have built numerous stonewalls for protection against the wind. Starting from Mandre, we cycle along the narrow peninsula until we reach the sea, where the boat will be waiting to take us to the island of Rab, one of the sunniest places in Europe. The town of Rab, the fortified capital of the island, was built in the middle ages on a wedge-shaped headland, and marks one of the highlights of the trip. The four famous bell towers are the symbol of the adorned beauty of the town. After dinner we can explore the narrow alleys with numerous cosy bars and cafés.

      DAY 6

      The island of Rab

      Cycling: 25 km

Today's ride is a round trip through diverse landscapes on the Island of Rab. At lunchtime the ship awaits us in the harbour directly in front of the old town of Rab. During our cruise we'll anchor along the way for a refreshing swim stop. In the late afternoon we reach the island of Krk where we spend the evening in the historical town of Krk

      Meals: Refer to inclusions

      DAY 7

      The island of Krk

      Cycling: 45 km

Our ride takes us over the ridge of the island, covered by fragrant macchia, to a valley of vineyards, and then onwards to the small museum town of Vrbnik in the northeast. The town, built on a 50m high cliff and surrounded by vineyards, is the home of the famous white wine, Žlahtina. Another peculiarity that Vrbnik has to offer, is it has the narrowest alley in the world. The trail takes us across the island through old villages and rich vegetation to Omišalj, where Rijeka will be within view. On the way, we can take time out for a refreshing swim in the bay of Soline. We spend our last night on the boat in the harbour of Omišalj.
